On Saturday, Sept. 10-Troop 642 met and cleaned the Scout House for the upcoming year.

The 2011 Scout Fair was held on Saturday, April 16 at Reliant Park.  Troop 642 attended along with other Scouts from 16 counties.  All met in one place to showcase their Scouting skills.   Visitors sampled amazing dutch oven creations and other delicacies in the outdoor cooking area.

Camping is the heart of Boy Scouting. Camping is one of the most important activities in Troop 642. We camp every month except the summer months of July and August, and during December. We attend Summer Camp the first session in June at Camp El Rancho Cima in Wimberley, Texas.

Troop 642 meets on Wednesday nights, promptly at 7:30 p.m. and promptly adjourn at 9:00PM.  The Scouts of Troop 642 run and manage the Troop Meetings. 
The Lewis Mattingly Memorial Scout House hosts Troop meetings, Eagle Courts of Honor, Merit Badge Classes, Scout Leadership Training, and Scout Committee Meetings.
