Re: 2009-10 God and Country Class: God and Life high school age Scout program

I invite you to participate in either the 2009-10 God and Country God and Life program or the God and Country God and Church program.

On Wednesday, March 25 at 6:00pm in the MDPC Scout House the 2009-2010 God and Country class will kick-off with a meeting for both God and Church (middle school program) and God and Life (high school program). Parents are required for the kick-off meeting.

Troop 642 has a very active, long-running God and Country program; you can see many award ribbons on the Scouts’ Class A uniforms at our meetings. The ribbon is worn alongside Scouting’s highest award – the Eagle Award.

The God and Life course is appropriate for High School age and covers the following key elements:

  • Discipleship
  • God’s call
  • Fellowship
  • Response
  • Strength
  • Willingness

The God and Church course is appropriate for Middle School age and covers the following general issues:

  • Basic Christian beliefs
  • Church organization
  • Denomination history

Please see the submenus to the left for more information on each protgram.
